Wright books whitewash-win over Anderson with 114 average, De Zwaan produces strong performance against Smith

The third round is complete at Players Championship 14 as we head into the Last 16 and the latter stages in Barnsley with Peter Wright and Jeffrey de Zwaan in particular impressing.

Wright ended up claiming a surprise whitewash victory over Gary Anderson with a 112 average in a superb display from 'Snakebite' over his World Cup of Darts partner.
De Zwaan averaged 106 in an impressive win himself over Michael Smith as he came through 6-3 as he continues his excellent form as of late and as a result, he could once again become a danger.
Despite Wright-Anderson being a brilliant game, Glen Durrant and Adrian Lewis was similarly superb with both players pegging each other back with multiple ton plus finishes and Durrant at one point being down in proceedings despite averaging 113. He ended up with a 103 average in the end as he won in a last leg decider.
