Peter Wright has had a horrendous few weeks going out early in Pro Tour events and losing 3 weeks on the bounce in the Premier League 7-1.
’Snakebite’ had a brilliant weekend though reaching the and having match darts to defeat the eventual winner Michael Van a Gerwen after being 5-1. Wright spoke afterwards admitting he’s happy to take 7 legs off Mighty Mike after struggling big time. “I’ve been struggling big time, and to take seven legs off Michael van Gerwen - the best player there is at the moment - that makes me very happy. “I thought the bullseye was going, I was ready to shake his hand but it wasn’t to be.”
