GRANDPRIX RD2 WRIGHT12

Two games in tonight and it is two games that have very much gone the distance with Peter Wright seeing off James Wilson in the latest clash as the World Grand Prix Quarter-Finals continue.

Wilson was 2 sets to nil down and seemingly going out of the competition but showed real fighting spirit to force a deciding set.
It started off with the Lethal Biscuit seemingly in control with him landing back to back legs including a break in the first but it was Snakebite who claimed the opening set with a 97 checkout after D6 was missed in the decider.
After that Wright seemingly had one foot in the semi-finals with him clinching the second set 3-1 with four 180’s to his name.
Despite that though Wilson had other ideas hitting two legs on the bounce before then hitting D10 in the decider in the set to claim a lifeline.
This lifeline was extended indefinitely when he claimed the next set 3-1 to cement the comeback and push Wright into a real battle.
Wright was up to that task taking control in the final set to claim the win and move through to yet another tie with Mensur Suljovic.
