Darren Beveridge leads the field in the Online Darts League after the opening day of Week Three, Phase Five but there is nothing separating all six players after the opening salvo.
'Ice Cold' currently sits on three wins and two defeats after five games and leads by one leg on leg difference ahead of Jamie Clark and three ahead of Tony Martin.
While Robert Thornton is also on six points. Robert Owen is slightly further back with four points with Kevin Painter bringing up the field with two points.
Each player plays once a day against the other players in the group. The winner of this group goes directly through to the final group on Saturday.
The numbers two and three of the ranking will play a new group against three new players on Thursday evening and Friday evening. These are Chas Barstow, Lee Cocks and Mark Webster.
The numbers five and six of the ranking on Wednesday will also play a new group against new participants. In this group, David Pallett, Scott Walters and Shaun Griffiths are the entrants. They will be in action on Thursday afternoon and Friday afternoon. Three players from the evening group go to the final group and two from the morning group, so that the final group consists of six players.
Unlike the first edition of the Modus League in 2020, the game will not be played online via a webcam connection, but at a location in Southampton, England. The matches can be followed via the
Online Darts YouTube channel .
