Burness tops MODUS Online Live League Group C table after flawless opening day

Kevin Burness has headed into the lead of Group C in the MODUS Online Live League after a flawless opening day on Thursday afternoon.

Burness saw off Diogo Portela (4-2), Richie Burnett (4-1), Jamie Kelling (4-1), Matthew Dennant (4-1) and Robert Thornton (4-2) to see him currently on 10 points.

This is ahead of Robert Thornton (six points), Matthew Dennant, Richie Burnett and Jamie Kelling (four points) and Diogo Portela (two points).

Now onto the evening sessions, James Richardson and Arron Monk who finished second and third will be joined by Chas Barstow, Scott Marsh (both multiple winners in the first phase) and Arron's father, Colin which will produce an intriguing tie.

From these, the two best players in each group move through as per the previous format. The top three from the first four Saturday nights make up the 12 for this Champions Week.
