Richie Burnett and Martin Adams have qualified from Group C during the first of two sessions on Friday in Champions Week of the Online Darts Live League.
Adams already had a good starting position after a good first day on Thursday and cashed in on this by recording another three wins on Friday. Burnett started this day as 5th, but managed to take the lead with five wins in a row.
The Welshman defeated Greg Ritchie (4-2), Martin Adams (4-2), Scott Marsh (4-1), Joe Davis (4-2) and Jarred Cole (4-0) in succession. Burnett and Adams now join James Richardson in the final group.
On Friday evening, Chas Barstow, Jamie Clark, Shaun McDonald, Colin Osborne and Conan Whitehead will play their second series of matches against each other. The top three players from this group complete the final group.
Unlike the first edition of the MODUS League in 2020, the game will not be played online via a webcam connection, but at a location in Southampton, England. The matches can be followed via the Online Darts YouTube channel .
