As part of a brand new series on BBC One Wales called Legends of Welsh Sport, Alan 'The Arrow' Evans is the first sporting star to be profiled in a documentary aired on Wednesday evening.
Fellow darting icon, Bobby George looks back on Evans who became one of the early superstars of the sport reaching the final of the 1972 News of the World Championship.
He moved away from Wales in search of darting stardom and played four times a week with a full exhibition with scoreboard, referee and announcer with his personality and style helping to make him famous friends including George Best, Tom Jones and Muhammad Ali off the oche.
Sadly passing away in 1999 at the age of only 49, his family including daughter Claire and son, Mark look back on their father alongside archive footage and interviews with the people who knew him best including former roadie and six time World Championship finalist, Tony O'Shea.
