Richard North is the first player through to the Week Six final in the
MODUS Online Live League after his imperious run over the past few days paid dividends.
North won 12 games with three defeats over the course of the opening three days and on Wednesday, he saw off
Corrine Hammond (4-2), Nathan Girvan (4-3) and
Alan Norris (4-0).
While two of his three defeats came today against
Ben Hazel (4-3) and Jamie Kelling (4-2). This left him on 24 points.
The second and third placed players in Jamie Kelling and Nathan Girvan will go through to play on Thursday and Friday evening in a group with Jason Askew, Sean Fisher and Martin Adams.
While those who finish fourth, fifth and sixth in
Alan Norris,
Ben Hazel and
Corrine Hammond will get a second chance in a group on Thursday and Friday morning with Wes Newton who will make his debut.
While Jarred Cole and Fallon Sherrock will return. The top two from each group will move through to Saturday's final.
Robert Thornton who has played this week has received a call up as a reserve for next week's PDC Super Series so has been replaced by Hazel.
Unlike the first edition of the Modus League in 2020, the game will not be played online via a webcam, but at a location in Southampton, England. The matches can be followed via the
