An imperious run saw Thomas come second on the day with four wins and one defeat along with Terry Jenkins who led on two legs ahead on leg difference.
It is the Welshman though who finishes on 13 wins and two defeats only with 26 points in one of the most dominant spells shown in the league and he will likely be the player to beat this week. He moves into the final on Saturday.
The numbers two and three in Terry Jenkins and Carl Wilkinson will play a new group against three new players on Thursday evening and Friday evening. This is Rhys Griffin, Jamie Kelling and Deta Hedman.
The remaining players in Robert Rickwood, Jarred Cole and Paul Hogan will also play a new group against new participants. In this group, Richard North, Lee Evans and Justin Smith are the entrants. They will be in action on Thursday afternoon and Friday afternoon.
From the evening group, three players go to the final group and from the morning group two, so that the final group consists of six players.
