King among eight winners in latest DPA Satellite Tour events

Robbie King was among eight event winners as the DPA (DartPlayers Australia) Satellite Tour continued across four states over this past weekend (March 6-7).

This season is different in the DPA with the circuit being split into seven state bubbles with five double header weekends on each.

The top eight players from these states will then move onto a 64 player World Championship qualifier meaning the best of the best will battle it out to book their spot at the Alexandra Palace.

The second weekend of action in Queensland, Victoria and New South Wales saw Events Three and Four take place, while in Western Australia, the first two events were played.

King who has previously competed in the 2019/20 edition of the World Championship saw off Raymond Smith in the final of Event Three. He then went down in the Event Four final to Shaun Kopecki.

Aaron Simpson and Brody Klinge won Events Three and Four at the Victoria Bubble, while Dave Mardland picked up his second title of the year at the New South Wales bubble. Brendan Porter was the other winner in Warilla.

While Koha Kokiri and Tim Pusey, two well-known faces from the World Series won the first two events in Western Australia.
