Penhall dominates once again on DPA Tour

Australia's Warilla recently hosted the second weekend of the DPA (Dart Players Australia) Tour. Darren Penhall was particularly successful there.

Tournaments five through eight were played in Warilla, of which Penhall won two. The 50-year-old Australian also won a tournament on the DPA Tour earlier this year.

The fifth tournament was won by former Tour Card holder Harley Kemp, but in the next tournament he lost to Penhall in the final.

In the seventh tournament, Penhall missed three match darts in the final against Joe Comito, only to go down in the deciding leg. But Penhall immediately retaliated by winning the eighth tournament.

Penhall thus remains in the lead in the DPA Tour standings. He has 2820 points, number two Brandon Weening has 1600. Harley Kemp completes the top three with 1420 points. The winner after twenty tournaments may participate in the PDC World Championship.

World Series

Prior to these four tournaments, the second qualifying tournament for the New South Wales Darts Masters was also completed. Earlier, Mal Cuming managed to qualify for this World Series tournament. Penhall won against Tyrell Coppini and can thus make his debut at the World Series of Darts in mid-August.

The next tournament of the DPA Tour is scheduled from April 28 to 30 in Victoria.
