Raymond van Barneveld is through to Round 2 of the World Matchplay after seeing off Kyle Anderson who mounted a late comeback against the five time World Champion.
Van Barneveld was 6-1 up and seemingly cruising smashing the darts into the T20 and hitting his doubles but Anderson had chances to potentially change the game which he squandered.
This allowed Barney to get over the line despite not playing at his best with five 180’s and an average of 91 which he will know he needs to improve on when he faces Gary Anderson in Round 2.
