Michael van Gerwen has once again claimed a European Tour title with his third of the year defeating James Wade in the final of the European Darts Grand Prix in Sindelfingen.

It was a typical final involving the World Number One where it was close only for ‘Mighty Mike’ to streak ahead into the distance for the victory. He ended up winning 8-3 to claim his 23rd European Tour title as he once again upped his average to 110.
Van Gerwen increased his average every round and not even James Wade who once again performed brilliantly all weekend could stop him. For Wade despite this loss will take a lot of confidence from this weekend as he once again reaches the latter stages of a tournament continuing his return to form.
Many pushed MVG this weekend but they couldn’t live with him this weekend and he will take that into the Premier League then his home tournament in Zwolle next weekend.
