On Monday, the World Darts Federation announced that there will be a completely new WDF ranking system for 2020 which will be launched shortly.
Discussions are currently ongoing between the WDF, national unions and commercial partners; to ensure that the WDF so called “2020 vision” will mean a global circuit for all players. This will all be brought together with the addition of brand new WDF major tournaments; within the next 12 months.
The WDF season will run between January to December and the calendar will have GOLD, SILVER and BRONZE events; with regional ranking tables also set to be introduced for both men and women with full details to come.
The first senior tournament of the year is the Las Vegas Open which takes place between January 17-19 followed by events in Australia, Iceland and Canada. From there, it is the turn of the Romanian Darts Festival and then the iconic Dutch Open Darts.
The World Darts Federation would like to make our member countries and their players aware that we are currently revising our senior rankings criteria, so to launch a brand new system for 2020.
