Adams and Sherrock among semi-finalists at WDF Virtual Cup

Martin Adams has reached the semi-finals of the WDF Virtual Cup. Players play this tournament from their home, similar to the PDC Home Tour from the other darts organisation.

That event is just played in round-robin phase, while WDF Virtual Cup started with a group stage but now turned into a knock-out stage. The tournament has now progressed to the semi-finals.

Adams saw off Kevin Lane 4-1 in the quarter-finals to move into the final four. Wolfie will meet Patrick Kovacs for a place in the final as Kovacs defeated Sebastian Bialecki. The other semi-final goes between Alan Soutar and John William-Jones.

Fallon Sherrock moved into the semi-finals of the ladies event. She is the only big name left in this tournament as Irina Armstrong knocked out two-time ladies world champion Mikuru Suzuki 4-0. Ksenia Kloche beat Aileen de Graaf 4-3 as another familiar name had to leave the event.
