Ashton records her highest-ever competitive average at WDF British Open

Lisa Ashton recorded an average of 105.47 at the WDF British Open on Sunday afternoon. It is her highest ever recorded average in a competitive match.

'The Lancashire Rose' threw two 16-darters, a 14-darter and an 11-darter consecutively in her quarter-final against Phonsawan Whillis to win 4-0.

Her old record stood at 104.32. She threw that in 2021 at the PDC Women's Series. On television, Ashton also once threw a 100+ average. That was during the 2021 UK Open, when she recorded an average of 100.34 in victory over Aaron Beeney.
