Hurrell and Hedman seal singles titles at 2022 WDF Scottish Open

James Hurrell and Deta Hedman won the singles titles at the 2022 WDF Scottish Open on Sunday evening and as a result are both certain of playing at the 2023 WDF World Championship.

Hurrell won the men's title at the expense of Ryan Murray (6-5). 'Hillbilly' beat Mark Blandford, Jim McEwan and James Beeton on his way to the final.

Hedman was the best among the ladies by beating Jo Clements 5-4 in the final. She had also defeated Zoe Holland, Crissy Manley, Aileen de Graaf and Suzanne Smith, among others. World champion Beau Greaves lost 4-3 to losing finalist Clements in the last eight.
