PDC grants permission for previously qualified new Tour Card holders to play in 2022 WDF World Championship

The PDC has granted previously qualified new Tour Card holders an exemption to play at the 2022 WDF World Championship, which is due to take place between April 2-10 at Lakeside.

The tournament was shifted due to the Omicron variant of COVID-19 and subsequently many of the field won Tour Cards at PDC Q-School.

The PDC Board of Directors made the decision though to allow the seven players involved to compete in the tournament without penalty if they wish in an unprecedented move.

The seven players are Nick Fullwell, Cameron Menzies, Ross Montgomery, Brian Raman, Connor Scutt, Mario Vandenbogaerde and Jules van Dongen.

Out of those though Ross Montgomery and Mario Vandenbogaerde have declined their invitation. This means that Roman Obukhov and Donovan Lottering will take those spots as the next highest ranked players.

Aaron Turner also benefits moving into the seeded positions replacing Montgomery's spot in the draw.
