Last Sunday, Bucharest was all about darts, culminating in the Romanian Darts Festival 2026. The darts weekend in the Romanian capital produced many international winners.
At the Romanian Open Classic, the men’s title went to Jenson Walker. The Englishman proved a clear class above
Moreno Blom in the final, winning 5-1. Blom put together a respectable tournament, but had to concede to the solid Walker.
In the women’s Classic there was success for Irina Armstrong, who took the title by beating
reigning world champion Deta Hedman 5-2 in the final.
Duff seals overall win at Bucharest Open
The Bucharest Open was also on the schedule and produced some notable winners. The women’s title went to Paula Jacklin, while former world champion Neil Duff showcased his class by winning the men’s event. For
Duff, this marked another important victory on the WDF tour.
The undisputed highlight of the weekend was the men’s final of the WDF Silver event Romanian Open. That title match was won by Cayden Smith. The young Englishman defeated Serbia’s Mladen Radosavljevic 5-2 to claim his first WDF ranking title. Smith impressed with mature play and consistent scoring, and with this win firmly announced himself as a name to watch on the international darts scene.
Paula Jacklin also sealed the Bucharest Open taking down Emine Dursun in the final who majorly impressed at Lakeside. An important title in the Lincolnshire based thrower's quest to return to Lakeside.
