Sherrock declined the initial invite before the tournament was then postponed and it was announced only late last week that she would play at Lakeside after being given another replacing Anastasia Dobromyslova.
But she has now withdrawn and will be replaced by the next player along on the list in Priscilla Steenbergen who comes into the 24-player field.
The highest ranked player at the end of 2021 not already seeded was Corrine Hammond and she will now advance to round two to play either Rhian O'Sullivan or Paula Jacklin.
While Steenbergen will face Darlene van Sleeuwen in place of Hammond. In a statement, MODUS, the management of Sherrock said the following.
"We are saddened to advise that Fallon Sherrock will not be participating in the WDF Lakeside World Championship in April. This is by no means a reflection on the WDF. We would like to thank them for the original invitation and wish them well with their tournament."
