Smith and Greaves crowned champions at 2022 WDF Australian Darts Open

Taking place between Wed 3 August - Sat 6 August, the platinum graded WDF Australian Darts Open took place with Raymond Smith and Beau Greaves sealing titles in Moama.

In the Men's, Smith who is well known for reaching the Last 16 at the PDC World Darts Championship earlier this year and will return to Ally Pally in December saw off New Zealand ace, Haupai Puha 10-9 in a quality final which saw 'The Guru' prevail with a 93 average.

Before that, he defeated former World Trophy champion, Peter Machin and current WDF World Champion, Neil Duff to reach that point. In turn, he seals a spot at Lakeside but that will currently have an asterisk due to his participation in the PDC version and whether he will be allowed to play both.

While Greaves has already cemented her spot multiple times and the current WDF Women's World Champion showed how good she is again by sealing the title.

'Beau N Arrow' defeated Kiwi ace, Nicole Regnaud who defeated Lisa Ashton earlier in the weekend before edging past two time World Champion, Mikuru Suzuki 8-5 in the final with a 91 average.
