Simon Whitlock has thrown the race for the Play-Offs in the Premier League wide open by defeating Gary Anderson in a closely fought victory for the Aussie.
‘The Wizard’ had match darts before Anderson sent it to a decider but a brilliant set up shot from the former World finalist of 171 gave him the victory. This was after Anderson had darts for a draw.
Whitlock has given the likes of Daryl Gurney and Raymond van Barneveld hope that they can still make the O2 showing glimpses of his early season form. He hit four 180’s, a 96 average with 47% on the doubles to end Anderson’s four match winning run.
