Taylor set to face Cameron in inaugural World Seniors Darts Masters final

The final is set at the inaugural World Seniors Darts Masters at the home of World Darts, the Lakeside as Phil Taylor will face David Cameron shortly.

Taylor despite being better than his Circus Tavern effort hasn't been at his best this weekend but finds himself in the final after easing past Tony O'Shea in the opening semi-final earlier this evening.

He stormed to a 5-1 victory over 'Silverback' with an 85 average and will now get the chance to live up to the favourite tag he has received in both tournaments.

To begin the tie, both sets went to deciding legs but it's Taylor who produced both times including a 13 darter to win Set Two as he surged into an early lead.

He threatened to run away with it sweeping the next two sets 2-0 despite his average deviating from the 95 registered in the close openers and it was a similar story to go 4-0 up.

O'Shea finally got a set on the board to go 4-1 down but this was a set where he threw first and it was a mere consolation as Taylor won the following set 2-0 to seal it.

Next is Cameron who was a qualifier after losing at the WDF World Championship last month at the Lakeside having rushed down to play in Newbury and he has got his reward by reaching the final.

It was another superb display from 'Excalibur' who given his performance against Richie Howson will fancy his chances as he produced a 93 average in a 5-2 victory and ahead of playing in the US Darts Masters next week could be announced as the World Seniors Darts Masters champion.
