Gary Anderson eases through to the Quarter-Final after a 10-4 victory over ‘Big Ben’ Benito van de Pas. It wasn’t the best game for the Flying Scotsman but he still smashed Benito who barring a small spell at the end was never really at the races and now Anderson will play Gerwyn Price tomorrow.
He got to the final of this tournament last year and will be hoping to do better tomorrow and end the day with the first title of the year ahead of the Premier League and the beginning of the ProTour season next week.
Anderson hit a 90 average in the less than vintage performance but hit four 180’s and this was enough to dispatch the Dutchman who had an 82 average and starts 2018 similar to how he ended 2017 and will be hoping he can put it right.
