Liam Gallagher and Keane Barry made it to the final of the Tom Kirby Irish Matchplay this past weekend with one of those two claiming qualification for the PDC World Championship.

Gallagher defeated Dean Forde and John O’Shea to reach the final; with Barry who is 17 compared to the former at 22 was too strong for Martin O’Boyle and Sean McGowan in his last two matches.

The final will be played in Dublin on October 12 before the World Grand Prix final; with Kevin Burness winning the final last year; going on to qualify for Ally Pally where he defeated Paul Nicholson.
