The first singles titles of the weekend have been won in Bridlington with Dennie Olde Kalter and Lisa Ashton taking victory in the BDO British Classic.
Olde Kalter won the men's title by defeating Dave Parletti in the final 6-4 after coming from 1-4 behind to reel off five consecutive legs. It is a first BDO title of the season for the Dutchman.
Ashton once again proved to be the class of the field in the ladies winning the title 5-4 with victory over another in-form player in Fallon Sherrock. In the semi-finals, she also accounted for Anastasia Dobromyslova.
The BDO British Open is the next on the agenda to end the weekend off in Bridlington,
