Daryl Gurney claimed his second title of the season on Saturday evening. Superchin defeated Nathan Aspinall in the final of Players Championship 25.
The two-time major champion broke Aspinall's throw in the tenth leg, which turned out to be the deciding moment in this game. Both players managed to hold their own legs until leg ten. Aspinall was not out within five turns and Gurney hit a 45 checkout to move 6-4 ahead.
He extended his lead with a 12-darter, Aspinall reduced the deficit with a 77 finish. However the UK Open champion was unable to level the match as Gurney decided the match with a 15-darter in the 13th leg.
