The first session of action at the 2020 BDO World Championship is complete with Chris Landman and Corrine Hammond both moving through.
Hammond is through to the BDO Ladies World Championship Quarter-Finals after defeating Vicky Pruim who was a late replacement for her close friend Fallon Sherrock.
Hammond came back from the brink in the first set to claim it and from there secured the match in what was a good display from the Aussie ace who had to come through a qualifier this time around.
Landman in his tie went two nil up in double quick time with a brilliant 170 checkout and four 180's meaning a good performance from the Dutchman so far.
The tie remained close though and Parletti soon halved the deficit with both averaging around 90. He levelled the match from there but despite that, Landman battled through in a real close affair to end the session off. Despite that it was the Dutchman who is through to the Last 16.
