Waites moves into World Masters semi-final with whitewash victory; Ashton and Dobromyslova through to ladies final

The final session of action at the BDO World Masters is coming up shortly and the line-up has been confirmed after the afternoon session was completed.

In the Men's Semi-Finals, we will get one of the BDO's best taking on one of many surprise packages in this year's tournament as Mario Vandenbogaerde who's story has seen him return from retirement, can he cap it off with victory in one of darts's most prestigious tournament.

He defeated Graham Usher, with his run ended after a brilliant weekend at the Circus Tavern. The Belgian will take on John O'Shea who has emerged as one of the leading lights this weekend.

'The Joker' produced some excellent darts to defeat Neil Duff 4-1 and they will now face off in the first semi-final.

Then it is the turn of Scott Waites against Michael Warburton. Waites is the biggest name left in the Men's draw and he showed that with a 90 average in a whitewash win over Carl Hamilton including an excellent 170 checkout.

He will take on another surprise package in Michael Warburton who confirmed his semi-final place on debut at the World Masters edging past Ciaran Teehan in a tie where no player really played to their best. The Welshman will know he has to step up against 'Scotty 2 Hotty'.

The Ladies final was also confirmed with two well known names set to face off in Lisa Ashton and Anastasia Dobromyslova. It is a battle of two former winners with the former the reigning and defending champion.

Ashton eased past Kasumi Sato to begin the afternoon session 5-1 with a 79 average and it was a win that also had ramifications for the BDO World Championship with Trina Gulliver sneaking into the field for the 20th consecutive year.

Dobromyslova also eased through her tie against best friend Lorraine Winstanley. Anastasia seems to have her number in most TV games and also won through 5-1 averaging just a bit more than Ashton at 80.09. We should be in for a cracker later.
