Bobby George has undergone heart surgery today (Wednesday 15 July) to repair a faulty heart valve, it has been confirmed. The iconic King of Bling has underwent notable medical procedures during his time, some of which have gleamed brilliant stories.

Such as his toe being amputated and he keeps one of his amputated toes in a jar of vodka behind the bar in his Essex mansion. He has also previously even suffered injuries on the oche.
Playing in the 1994 World Championship, he suffered a severe back injury celebrating a win. Doctors later discovered a broken back that required surgery to insert titanium screws into his spine and allowed him to stand up straight.

Described as 'bionic man'

As well as multiple other surgeries some cosmetic including a Bluetooth hearing aid and also laser eye surgery to replace his lenses. As described by Richard Ashdown, who shared an update on the darting icon, very much the bionic man.
He had heart surgery on a faulty heart valve, also known as a TAVI procedure. Guided through an artery to the heart and placed inside the old one, the new valve helps to ump blood more easily. He was honoured earlier in the year by the PDC with a golden dartboard.

An urgent procedure to be done, Ashdown shared that George was still a 'laugh-a-minute' before he had it done before sharing his well wishes towards him.
