Winmau, one of the sport’s leading brands for decades, wanted to mark George’s enormous contribution to the professionalization and popularization of darts with this special gift.
George made his name mainly in the 70s, 80s, and 90s. He was renowned for his flamboyant walk-on, his gold jewelry, and his charismatic stage presence. On the oche he enjoyed major success, including two BDO World Championship finals and multiple strong runs at major televised tournaments. Although he never captured a world title, he became one of the most recognizable and beloved figures in darts.

Winmau World Masters, among other events.
