The eight players set to play on the BDO side for the 2019 Grand Slam of Darts which is set to take place from Nov 9-17 at Aldersley Leisure Village in Wolverhampton.
Big news is that Glen Durrant, the current BDO World Champion who has since switched to the PDC is involved as is Mikuru Suzuki, the current BDO Ladies World Champion.
As well as Durrant being involved, it marks a return for Ladies to the foray at the cross code event as Lisa Ashton will also compete in the event as the top ranked BDO Ladies player.
Wesley Harms as the top ranked Men’s player also gains a place as does BDO World Trophy winner Jim Williams. The line-up is confirmed with Richard Veenstra, Dave Parletti and Wayne Warren who come through as the next ranked players.
There is no place for Leighton Bennett who was mooted for the line-up but it seems it is too early for the 13-year old. The line-up will be confirmed in the coming weeks after further major tournaments and Qualifiers.
