The seeds enter the Austrian Darts Championship at the second round stage on Saturday afternoon.

First among them is a man who, until recently, couldn't count on a seeding. Steve Beaton comes in as the tenth seed, having made some real gains in Europe this season. A lengthy European Tour run at the Austrian Darts Championship would be very welcome. Standing in the Bronzed Adonis' way is James Wilson - the Huddersfield heavy-hitter out-muscled Gavin Carlin in round one.

Simon Whitlock, fresh off a mixed bag in the recent World Series events, takes on Vincent van der Voort in Vienna. Then third seed Gerwyn Price comes up against a PDC form horse; Brendan Dolan is a recent tournament winner, and held off William O'Connor impressively on Friday.

Friday was a fairly good day for the Austrian contingent. Three of them went through - the only one not in the Rodriguez clan was Dietmar Burger. The 51-year-old outplayed Cor Dekker, but Dave Chisnall is an entirely different prospect.

All the latest scores and stats will be available through the afternoon in our live score feature.

Ricky Evans is the next obstacle for Kirk Shepherd, who failed to swat aside a resilient Alex Steinbauer yesterday. Then Cameron Menzies, fresh off a morale-boosting 6-1 win over Kevin Munch, faces the prospect of a bout with recent World Matchplay runner-up Michael Smith.

Ian White's Matchplay ended up being one to forget; his Players Championship comeback didn't spark inspiration either. Perhaps the European Tour, such a happy hunting ground, will be the perfect tonic for the Diamond. Rusty-Jake Rodriguez will have the crowd on his side as he looks to seal a spot in the final day of the Austrian Darts Championship.

The final tie of the afternoon features one of the PDC Pro Tour's newest recruits against a seasoned veteran. Christian Bunse and Adrian Lewis have met twice in 2019. The first time around, Bunse shocked the two-time world champion with a 6-1 shellacking; a few months later, Lewis returned the favour with an identical scoreline. One of the pair will edge ahead in the career head-to-head here.
