Daryl Gurney claimed a brilliant victory last night smashing Gary Anderson but despite that, some needle was evident at the end of the match.
Gurney explained it and said: “Gary (Anderson) was trying to say I was mumbling behind him. I’ve never mumbled in any game I’ve played in.”
He added: “Honestly i’m disappointed in him. I’m a big darts fan and I’m a big fan of Gary Anderson. I’m not best pleased really.”
For Gurney though he now has the task of facing Michael van Gerwen in the semi-finals as he hunts for back to back World Grand Prix titles.
