Daryl Gurney has claimed victory in the second European Tour event of the season, the German Darts Championship in Hildesheim.

Gurney edged out Ricky Evans in the final in an 8-6 victory for ‘Superchin’ as he completes a clean sweep of major, Pro Tour and now European Tour titles.
This win will also propel him up to number three in the world in the PDC Order of Merit set to be updated tomorrow.
The theme for the first few legs was missed doubles from Evans as Gurney went 3-0 up and it looked quite ominous for the Kettering ace.
Evans finally got his first leg on the board but Gurney went halfway to victory at 4–1 up.
‘Rapid’ got back into it with a 128 checkout and he reeled off three legs on the spin to go one behind.
Gurney lead 6-4 but there was a further turn as Evans went to parity at 6-6.
This proved to be the end for Evans though as Gurney had one more surge to win 8-6.
