Luke Humphries and Gerwyn Price have shared the points in the opening match of the night in the Premier League in Exeter.

Humphries kept his cool like his nickname suggests despite not being in the greatest form to start the year to show he belongs on the big stage. Price couldn’t produce his heroics from the weekend but missed double 12 for a nine darter to show flashes of brilliance.
‘The Iceman’ went 3-1 up to set his stall out early including smashing in a 147 checkout. Humphries came back well to smash in a 161 checkout to make it 3-2 to show he was still there.
It was even more high quality in the following leg when he missed double 12 for a nine darter but he still produced a 10 darter. The Newbury ace kept on Price’s heels and hit his first 180 and hit double ten to trail.
He went on to make it three legs on the spin with an 11 darter to lead 5-4 with a 103 average. Price stopped the rot but Humphries assures himself of a point by making it 6-5 but ‘Cool Hand Luke’ couldn’t finish the job in a thriller.
