Richardson wins first MAD match with victory over O'Shea to claim European Title
Richardson was super impressive with a 93 average in a 9-5 victory over the current World Master and sent a message afterwards to anyone if they want to put a bid in for the title match to 'come and get it'.
At the first break it was Richardson who was looking better off with 'Ruthless' just that at 6-4 up with a 92 average as he looked to capture the European title straight off O'Shea.
The Rushden ace returned and was well ahead with a 56 checkout after a 137 cover shot setting it up to make it 7-5. O'Shea was clinging on in there though as Richardson needed just two more legs at 7-5 down.
A brilliant 180 put Richardson down to 24 as he looked to hold throw and go one away which he pinned first time.
O'Shea couldn't put a strong leg together and despite Richardson not being down to the finish, he smashed in a 136 to leave 40 with O'Shea on 141.
Richardson pinned double seven last dart in hand after initially missing double 20 and double 10 to claim the belt.
