Andy Baetens was very impressive in the
MODUS Super Series this week. In his group match against Luke Littler, he narrowly missed a nine-darter on Wednesday.
Baetens qualified as group winner for the final night on Saturday. "All three days I played very well," he says. "The group was phenomenal. From Geert De Vos to Leonard Gates to Luke Littler, a fantastic group."
The 34-year-old Belgian did have a tinge of regret about the missed nine darter though. "I thought it would maybe go in. But, then I took a ten darter so yeah," he says with a wry smile.
Baetens is currently number one in the WDF world rankings meaning big things were expected from him. Thankfully though he has lived up to those expectations. "I played very well I think! So I'm happy," he assesses. "Now a bit of relaxing, watch Geert and we will see about Saturday," he concludes referencing the weeks final.
