Andy Baetens was close to an incredible performance in the MODUS Super Series on Wednesday. The Belgian darter missed the double 12 for a nine-dart finish.
It happened in a match against English prodigy Luke Littler, with both men still fighting for the group win.
At 3-3, Baetens started the decisive leg with two 180s. In the third, 'The Beast' hit the triple 20 and triple 19, but the ninth dart missed the double 12.
Baetens nevertheless managed to win the match 4-3 moments later, securing group victory. On Saturday, Baetens will be in action during the final day of this week of play in the MODUS Super Series.
