Another weekend off which are few and far between anyway for darts players means that
exhibitions are very much on the agenda and the action headed to Oldham on Friday night led by
Gerwyn Price and
Jonny Clayton.
They faced off in the showpiece for the event ran by MDA and MODUS with Price winning through 5-1 against Clayton in the all-Welsh affair which ended the night. They are rivals at the moment in the Premier League but soon will play together also in the World Cup of Darts next month.
Fallon Sherrock was also a leading name in Oldham and she was in action against Clayton losing out 3-1 in the opening match of the night. This followed by Price facing off against
Robert Thornton who was the other player involved and he won through 3-1 in that tie.
While it was 2/2 in terms of losses for Sherrock as she was defeated by Thornton following that who managed to avenge his defeat to Price with a victory sealing it 5-1 in one of the showpiece games of the night.
All will be in action again on Saturday as they head over to Birkenhead for the next exhibition tournament. Price and Clayton are two of many also who have decided not to play in the
ProTour this coming Monday and Tuesday and also won't be involved in next weekend's European Tour in Graz either as they both pick and choose while still being in the Premier League.
