With it once again being a weekend off with only ProTours going into the new week, this gives a chance for the top names to take in
exhibitions and
Luke Littler showed his class during an outing to Ayr on Saturday night winning with a nine-dart finish against
Gerwyn Price.
Two of the best players in the world is perhaps worth the admission alone but there were absolute scenes as Littler took out the nine-dart finish and he went on to win the match 7-6 in the headliner of the exhibition on Saturday.
He averaged 105.36 with Price hitting 106.92 but still being defeated by The Nuke with 'The Iceman' taking out a best of 130 with five 180's to Littler's six.
Other players involved in the
MODUS and MDA exhibition included Ricky Evans, Karel Sedlacek and some home heroes in John Henderson and Robert Thornton.
Littler and Sedlacek produce show stopping moments
Littler opened the night with a 3-1 win over Andy Callary before Henderson who is looking even more streamlined and better than ever saw off Craig Devlin also 3-1.
Karel Sedlacek also faced off against Ricky Evans and produced an incredible exhibition shot to end it off and give the fans their money's worth. He hit 150 using three bullseyes to see off the darting entertainer known as 'Rapid' so very much playing the Kettering darter at his own game.
After his incident with Van Veen in Manchester, Littler has faced boos from the crowd at the last tournaments.
This was before that show closer between Littler and Price. Albeit both Littler and Price will not be back in action over the next few days as both will not play the P
roTour double header in Milton Keynes from tomorrow. Nathan Aspinall, Jonny Clayton and Michael van Gerwen have also decided against it and will return during the Premier League for those stars and if not the Austrian Darts Open for others the weekend after.
Price moves on today to Dumfries with Evans, Thornton and Henderson to the Dumfries and Galloway Masters. This after Littler played also in Glasgow this weekend but the icing on the cake has to be the nine-dart finish in Ayr.
