Reigning WDF world champion in action in fourth week of MODUS Super Series 10

Starting Monday, Feb. 10, the fourth week of play in the tenth season of the MODUS Super Series begins. Twelve new players will be in action this week as they compete for the weekly title.
From Monday through Wednesday, Brandon Weening, Richie Howson, Justin Smith, Danny van Trijp, Patrick Dekker and Ultan McDyer will make their appearance in Group A. From this pool will come the first finalist for Saturday's final night.
The other five players will get a retake in another group on Thursday and Friday. The numbers two and three continue in Group B, which includes Kelvin O'Keefe, John O'Shea and Shane McGuirk. The numbers four through six from Group A will continue in Group C, where they will be joined by Mason Whitlock, Henry Coates and Luke Smith.
What is the MODUS Super Series?
The MODUS Super Series is a weekly tournament with 12 players competing from Monday through Friday for a spot in the final group, which takes place on Saturday night. A week of play begins with six players competing in Group A. They play against each other once each on the first three days of play. The winner of this group is directly through to finals night.
The numbers two and three will enter Group B with three new players. They will play each other on Thursday and Friday, after which the top three of this group may also prepare to participate in the final night. The numbers four, five and six from Group A advance to Group C, where they too will be joined by three other players. Two more players from this pool will advance to the final night.
The final night is played on Saturday night starting at 10 p.m. where players compete in a small group stage with two groups of three players, followed by semi-finals and a final to determine the weekly winner. After twelve weeks of competition, all the weekly winners compete in "Champions Week," which is played every thirteen weeks of play to determine who wins the series and takes home the top prize of 25,000 pounds.

- Likewise, I have always been a fan of Mervyn and with this worry on his mind, it explains why his form and ranking plummeted. It is really sad to hear this, often chatted to Mervyn and Tracey during the Lakeside days, both are lovely people. It does seem naive not acknowledging the fact it was earnings, surely there must be others in the same situation. - What’s with the dogs element to this story, trying to pull at the heart strings? Just goes to show that being a good dart player does not equate to being that bright. Seriously, ‘I thought you didn’t have to pay tax on winnings’ , your a pro dart player and its your line of work, your not playing the lottery or placing a bet. I think it was Phil Taylor who said you should put a third to one side of all winnings into a bank account, obviously Merv was wearing his earplugs at the time.Mysstree10-03-2025
- The thing is... the folks who "humiliated" Taylor in the Seniors Events never really achieved anything in the important events - like Taylor did. Taylor had/has nothing to prove... and beating Taylor after he had retired is of zero value. Taylor in his prime would have made easy work of all of them. Cheers.MrYnyslas197107-03-2025
