WDF World Champion Shane McGuirk and John O'Shea on course for Finals Night at MODUS Super Series

Shane McGuirk and John O'Shea made a fine start to the first matches in Group B during the international pairing week in the MODUS Super Series.
The Irish duo get a second chance in Group A after losing to Scotland earlier this week. From Group B, however, three teams will advance to the final night, which takes place on Saturday.
They lead the group with six points. The Dutch who sit on their tail then also surprisingly lost to Kenyan duo Peter Wachuiri and Manpreet Kalsi, but recovered with wins over Welsh duo Richie Burnett/Kurt Parry and Germans Marcel Althaus and David Schlichting.
With four points, the Dutch have as many points as the German and Welsh teams, but their leg difference is a lot better. So after four of the eight matches, they are on course to qualify for the final night alongside the Irish duo.

Sport only works when it is shown live - very few people pull a 'Likely Lads' and try to avoid a result so they can watch highlights later. And if darts disappears off free to air ITV, it certainly won't go to the BBC, who couldn't afford it, even if they were interested. So, that leaves Channel 4 or maybe Channel 5. - ITV coverage is far superior to SKY It is excellent, always very interesting from an extremely knowledgeable team. I love Chris Mason, Jacqui, Alan and Ned, brilliant presenters and so enjoyable. ITV are also losing their absolutely fantastic Tour de France coverage. They do not get enough credit for the fantastic job they do. What the fudge do BBC do with darts? - I was always a fan of Rocky, another one of my heroes banished never to return....unless he changes his name to Anne. Andy didn't need to fix matches, he is a good player and wealthy. It sounds like too many people were involved in the bets, and it rather suitably circumstantial. Richie Gardiner has heat with Rocky. How can anyone predict where a player will throw a dart, I purposely avoided hitting 180 when I played as the organisation would pay £10 for each 180 hit to a charity I refused to contribute to. Modus is played in Portsmouth anyway. I've met Rocky many times and thank him for the great matches and memories....unless can he play in the WDFrichieburnettrocks01-05-2025
- Surely then as darts is ‘your job’ then do your job and less exhibitions even if they pay more, or retire and do the exhibition circuit. Appreciate that exhibitions are gauranteed income, you get your fee. Still say scrap the Premier League and even out the season, its only eight of the top guys who lose anything money wise and its not like they are struggling for income.Mysstree29-04-2025
