As expected, the latest night of Premier League Darts action has seen more play-off spots sealed. After Luke Littler, two more players have secured a spot on the final night.
Littler tops the standings with 38 points and is still on course to top the points record in Premier League Darts. That record now stands at 40 points and is shared by Jonny Clayton (2022) and Littler (2024).
Luke Humphries took a big shot at securing second place by winning the evening in Leeds on Thursday night. The world number one beat successively Michael van Gerwen (6-4), Stephen Bunting (6-4) and Luke Littler (6-5) to take a weekly title for the third time this competition.
Behind Humphries, Gerwyn Price is now also sure of a spot at the playoffs. Price made it to the semifinals in Leeds and brought his point total to 24 points. This leaves him behind Michael van Gerwen and Nathan Aspinall.
Van Gerwen is one point ahead of Aspinall with 20 points, but the Dutchman faces "The Asp." next week in Aberdeen. The two rivals may play opposite each other again a week later in Sheffield. Van Gerwen and Aspinall will decide amongst themselves who will be the last participant in the playoffs.
Rob Cross is currently sixth with fourteen points. Mathematically, 'Voltage' is not yet eliminated, but 'Voltage' only has a chance if he manages to win both of the last two rounds of play. Chris Dobey (twelve points) and Stephen Bunting (ten points) though can draw a line on potential participation.
