Netherlands have once again claimed the World Cup of Darts title. The pairing of Michael van Gerwen and Raymond van Barneveld have been class throughout the tournament and it ended with MVG claiming a 4-0 whitewash victory over Gary Anderson averaging 111.

It is a fourth title for the duo as they won 3-1 overall. This came after Van Gerwen started off by defeating Peter Wright 4-2 to start off with, he produced 2/4 finishes that were ton plus with 143, 112 as well as a 98.

It was up to Gary Anderson to help Scotland’s World Cup of Darts cause and he did so by claiming a 4-1 victory with five 180’s. There was another 4-1 and this time it was to Netherlands to put them on the brink with a pairs victory.

Van Gerwen then ended it with that whitewash victory. They have now equalled England’s record tally set by Phil Taylor and Adrian Lewis over their years involved in that tournament.
