A third of of 100+ averages on Gibraltar Darts Trophy thrown by Michael van Gerwen

More statistics have been released based on this year's Gibraltar Darts Trophy with Michael van Gerwen in particular throwing 33% of all ton plus averages so far.
A lot of these will have come in the later rounds with Van Gerwen being well known for getting better as a tournament goes on. The overall average for the Gibraltar Darts Trophy this year was 92.90.
The most below 80 averages come in the first round with five and 66% of these were thrown by the Gibraltar Host Nation Qualifiers this past weekend. The most range in Round 1 and 2 in terms of averages is the 90-100 mark with of course this being the case in round 2 due the seeds coming in.
This trend continues into the every other round of the tournament with only a small proportion of players reaching that 100+ mark which like alluded to was mostly MVG.
