Kim Huybrechts came through in the opening game of the evening session in a brilliant win for 'the Hurricane' against a man in form in Nathan Aspinall who despite his 6-3 loss has achieved a spot in Hasselt in the European Championship. He will now face Peter Wright or Martin Schindler tomorrow.
Jelle Klaasen continued the seeds getting through by defeating Chris Dobey 6-1. Klaasen finished well with Dobey missing quite a few doubles which would of changed the game and it is a welcome return to some good form for Jelle who since having surgery hasn't been at his best.
Rob Cross won through in a last leg decider winning 6-5 against Jamie Caven in an enthralling encounter with both men showing flashes of quality with Caven showing a resurgence as of late.
Peter Wright in the first half finished it off with a win against 'The Wall' Martin Schindler in a quality affair between two of the form men in World Darts. He will face Kim Huybrechts tomorrow after defeating Schindler 6-4.
