All square between Anderson and Gurney in Leeds

UK Open champion Gary Anderson came from behind to take a point against Northern Ireland's Daryl Gurney.

Anderson started brightest, cruising out to a 3-1 lead. Despite picking up the UK open title in Minehead last week, the Scot still remains far from his best. Once again his darts began to drop low in the twenty segment.
That allowed Gurney back in the match, an opportunity which he took with both hands. 4 legs on the trot for Gurney saw him take the lead, and he should have wrapped the match up from there.
However, missed doubles once again proved costly for the debutant as he failed to close out a victory. Both men will need to step it up in the next couple of weeks if they want to avoid relegation, or find themselves too far adrift of the all important top four.
