Gary Anderson recovered from an early slump to see off Stephen Bunting and safely progress in a battle of the former World Champions at the World Matchplay.

Anderson was at one point 5-3 down but Bunting claimed two more legs as ‘The Flying Scotsman’ claimed a 10-7 victory.
He turned on the turbo towards the end meaning that the Bullet couldn’t live with the former two time semi-finalist in the tournament.
It was a 96.6 average and five 180’s in the end for him as he hopes to end his barren run in Blackpool especially now Van Gerwen is out.
