Gary Anderson overcame Oceanic representative Damon Heta 10-7 in the quarter-finals of the Melbourne Darts Masters.

Heta was not able to produce another shock, as he beat Kyle Anderson in the first round on Friday. However, the 31-year-old from Perth let Anderson work for his money.
The Scotsman came 8-3 up against the Australian qualifier. But Heta managed to win three legs on the spin and reduced the deficit to 8-6. A 14-dart leg brought Anderson one leg away from victory, before Heta hit double 10 for 9-7. 'The Flying Scotsman' avoided further problems and threw double 20 to claim his spot in the semi-finals.
The world number four will face Michael Smith in the semi-finals on Sunday. ‘Bullyboy’ produced a brilliant comeback to edge out world champion Rob Cross.
“That wasn’t anywhere near as good as last night and I got away with it a bit,” said an honest Anderson.
“Damon will be disappointed because he didn’t score as well as he did against Kyle last night but the boy can play.
“I just need to get some rest and come back tomorrow and see how we go, Michael and I obviously know each other very well but if I play as well as I can I win, if I don’t then it’s an early night for me.”
